The Keystone Longfellows pulled off the league’s Grand Slam by winning both the Fantasy Bowl and the Points Championship in the same season. Keystone coasted to 1,155 points despite scoring only 18 points in the final week. It’s the third points championship for Keystone following wins in 2002 and 2010. The 2017 Longfellows are the 7th team in our 26 years to capture both trophies in the same season.
The Boston Wildcats shrugged off a sluggish week 16 performance and posted 59 points in the final week to capture second overall in points. Boston finished at 1,099 points, just 17 points ahead of Syracuse (1,082). It’s the seventh time the Wildcats have finished 2nd overall in points, and the 11th time the Wildcats have finished in the top 2 overall points.
New Pepper (1,062) and Dallas (1,037) also finished above 1000 points. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Oregon (611) had the lowest point total of any team since 2010. It’s the first time the Big Bang has finished at the bottom of overall points.
Ronnie and Sam — it’s your obligation to get the trophies to Ver asap. Do so before the NFL Super Bowl to avoid penalties.
